The offseason is where wrestlers make their biggest jumps.
This spring and summer, Built Tough Wrestling Club is introducing two structured development paths designed to help athletes improve their wrestling while continuing to balance other sports and activities.
These programs focus on developing confident wrestlers who understand position, control matches, and are prepared to compete when the next season arrives.
A Development Path for Every Wrestler
Our new training structure offers two different options depending on how much training an athlete is ready to commit to.
The 2-Day Development Program is designed for wrestlers who want consistent offseason improvement while still leaving room for other sports, summer activities, and family time. These sessions focus heavily on fundamentals, positioning, and match awareness while building confidence on the mat.
The 4-Day Advanced Development Program is for athletes who are serious about improvement and competition. With significantly more weekly mat time, wrestlers will spend more time in live wrestling, situational training, and match strategy while preparing for higher levels of competition.
Both options are coached practice environments built around structured development — not beginner classes.
Built for Long-Term Improvement
Wrestling development doesn’t happen in a few intense weeks. It happens through consistent training over time.
These spring and summer programs are designed to help athletes:
Build strong technical fundamentals
Develop mat awareness and match strategy
Increase confidence during live wrestling
Prepare for the next folkstyle season
Athletes who want to increase their training commitment will also have the ability to move from the 2-day program to the 4-day program during the season.
Choosing the Right Training Path
The 2-day option is typically the best fit for younger wrestlers or athletes balancing multiple sports.
The 4-day advanced program is ideal for wrestlers who want the largest possible improvement before the next season and are committed to developing at a higher level.
For many athletes, the offseason is where the biggest gains happen.
The Offseason is an Opportunity
When the next season begins, the wrestlers who improved the most won’t be the ones who waited until November to step back on the mat.
They’ll be the athletes who stayed consistent, worked on their fundamentals, and built confidence throughout the spring and summer.
That’s exactly what these programs are designed to do.
